John Mulaney, a stand-up comedian, and actress Olivia Munn startled fans by revealing their pregnancy in September 2021.
The pair had only been dating for a few months at that point, and Mulaney had recently divorced his wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler.
Many people questioned the timeframe of the couple's connection. Mulaney and Munn would have conceived in February, assuming a nine-month pregnancy.
Mulaney's divorce from Tendler was not finalized until May. "The math isn't working on his divorce and the conception of this baby haha," one confused fan tweeted.
According to an E! News source, the couple's connection arose from a long-standing acquaintance, and it was "new and not at all hurried."
They may have moved at the speed of light when it came to having a kid together, but Mulaney and Munn aren't in a rush to celebrate another significant milestone.
Given that John Mulaney and Olivia Munn co-parent their son Malcolm Hiep Mulaney, people are curious about their plans to marry, especially since their love appears to be stronger than ever.
"They've just been dating for a little over a year, so they're not in a hurry to get married," a source told Us Weekly.
"She is determined to embrace her time as a new mother. Olivia is totally immersed in parenthood, with all of its struggles and ups and downs."
According to Us Weekly, Munn is "very happy" and "loving being a parent" thus far, so she's definitely OK with where things are in her relationship.
